As we kick off the new year with a bang, it’s easy to get swept up in the excitement of setting ambitious goals and resolutions.. what I call New Year Syndrome. We all get hit with the NYS bug.

But let’s keep it real for a moment: the real challenge lies in staying focused and committed to those goals long after the confetti(NYS) has settled. Did you know that studies show most people tend to abandon their new year resolutions by mid-February?

But hey, we’re not most people, are we? 😉

Today, we’re diving deep into the science behind goal setting and uncovering some savvy strategies to help you stay laser-focused on your 2024 goals, no matter what life throws your way.

What I love about science is that even though you know a thing is impactful or real, to increase belief you can conduct studies that validate this thing to be true! I used to be annoyed by it especially when I knew the thing I was sharing was beneficial and impactful but now I’m glad that we’re asking more questions and intentional about searching for truth.

Know that all information I share is with good intention and I take time to do research to ensure there’s definitive studies backing up what I am teaching. Any who, let’s dive into 5 studies on the “great fall off”, what I call NYS, after New Year excitement.

You’re not alone. According to studies, here are some common reasons why people lose focus on their goals:

Lack of Accountability: Flying solo on your goal-setting journey? It’s easy to lose steam without a support system or accountability partner to keep you in check.

Overwhelm and Burnout: Trying to do it all at once? Hello, recipe for disaster. Overloading yourself with unrealistic expectations can quickly lead to burnout and derail your progress.

Shiny Object Syndrome: In a world full of shiny distractions, it’s tempting to chase after every new opportunity that comes our way. But constantly switching gears can leave us feeling scattered and unfocused. But fear not, my love.

Now, SMART goals are a vibe but something that they don’t mention is the fact that we all have our own timeline.

Following SMART goals does not mean you’ll manifest your goals in 5 day, 5 weeks, 5 months, or 5 years. Some get discouraged when they don’t see massive growth like so-and-so, especially when they’re implementing SMART goals and everything else the business coach gurus are telling them.

FATE Goals:

F – Flow State: Embrace the flow state and allow your actions to align effortlessly with your goals.

A – Aligned Action: Take action that is aligned with your intentions and in harmony with divine timing.

T – Trusting Timing: Trust in the divine timing of God, knowing that everything unfolds in perfect order.

E – Empowered Belief: Cultivate a deep sense of belief in yourself and your ability to manifest your goals.

FATE Goals emphasizes the importance of flowing with divine timing while taking aligned action and maintaining a strong belief in the manifestation process.

Embracing SMART Goals and FATE Goals involves understanding their core principles and integrating them into your goal-setting and manifestation practices:
